Spotlight: 2018 cloud-init Summit
Last week the cloud-init team ran a two-day summit where the team demoed recent developments in cloud-init, resolved outstanding issues, and collected feedback on development and test processes as well as future features. Representatives from various cloud platforms and distributions were present and able to work alongside each other.
cloud-init
- Completed 18.3 release to Ubuntu Cosmic, Bionic, and Xenial
- logging: Add logging config type hyperv for reporting via Azure KVP [Andy Liu]
curtin
- use uuid4 not uuid1 (LP: #1785356)
- vmtest: ensure we collect /var/log/journal only once
- vmtest: persist journal if possible
